In order to give full protection to vehicles with exposed or easy to
access batteries, the alarm system fitted needs to be a self powered
system with its own built in battery. This ensures that the alarm system
is not dependent on the vehicles batteries in the event that they are
disconnected.
Should this occur, the PS25 Loadalarm will immediately go into alarm
condition and will only reset if cancelled by the keyswitch. (Subject
to the software programming requirements and with the vehicle battery
reconnected). Alternatively, if the system is not reset then it will
continue to run until the internal battery is exhausted, approximately
3 hours.
The control box contains maintenance free jelly acid batteries and are
kept in fully charged condition by a specially developed float charging
circuit.
The box is a compact unit which can be fitted into either the load compartment
or the cab. The sounder can be reversed in the control box to vent externally
(through an aluminium louvre), or alternatively can be vented into the
cab space or load compartment.

inside the vehicle within a tamper proof control
box manufactured from zinc plated steel for maximum
rust prevention and durability.
The 122dB siren can be vented into the load area
or externally, according to preference.
System installation is to BS6803 Part3 Code of Practice.
