Fit the reassurance of Lift Alert
The Lift Alert warning system prevents potentially
serious accidents occuring when wheelchair users
are exiting the vehicle.
The Maple wheelchair-lift system consists of a photoelectric
cell, reflector plate, proximity switch, electronic
sounder and warning lamp, and is in standby mode
when the power supplied to the wheelchair-lift is
turned on.
The system is also suitable for all types of lifting
requirements. All the equipment is integrally fitted
to the lift apart from the warning lamp which is
positioned at the rear, on the roof facing downwards.
The photoelectric cell scans the entrance to the
lift.
If the attendant or wheelchair user breaks the beam
which scans the entrance to the lift, with the lift
in the wrong position, an electronic sounder and
warning lamp will activate to warn of the potential
danger.
The system will trigger automatically when attempting
to alight the vehicle through the rear door, if the
lift is not at the correct height to allow a safe
exit.
The warning lamp illuminates continuously when activated.
The system will not activate if the wheelchair-lift
is at the correct height.
